Well Kate was pulling on my shirt earlier when we got home today and demanding "BOO BOO's" and I told her no because I was trying to get her down to where she only gets it before bed and in the am. Then I would drop the AM feed and then the Pm....Well when it was bed time, we went and sat in her chair(lazy boy) in her room where we always nurse and she asked for her sippy of water. I gave it to her and she said Night Night Boo Boo's and then asked to be put in her bed. So I put her in and she fell asleep. She is usually not happy unless she nurses for 10-15 minutes before bed and now she didnt even ask for it. I walked out of her room and immediately started to bawl like a baby. I know Im one of the lucky ones who made it this far and know it is getting time to wean, but it still makes me so sad. What really is sad is that Ed didnt even notice I was crying number one, nor did he notice I was only in her room 5 minutes getting her to sleep....

Well im off to lick my wounds and cry myself to sleep.

Maybe she will be looking for them in the morning and/or tomorrow night. The opposite is my child that wanted to nurse for an hour or 3 tonight and I wanted to get things done - like make supper so I wasn't so crabby and so she would sleep without nursing all night long.

I remember really wanting Loralei to wean, then getting pregnant with Jos and bfing became painful, and she weaned and I was crushed! She was such a good nurser and I know I was feeling through even before I got pregnant but it just was so sad. I know I for sure don't want to be pregnant before Jos is 18 months old, because I just cannot b-feed while pregnant (I was in firey pain). I know it will be the same when she weans. I know where your heart is Lisa!
Too bad your DH gets doghouse points for being ignorant! He could have been super Ed tonight and missed it!
