"Mom, put Ty back in your belly ~ he keeps touching my toys"
|
What is the story with these-pros and cons? Anyone have one-I am looking at the non-hormone one. My OB recommended to me today as she does not think I should take the mini-pill b/c it could make my mood worse than it already is-if taht is possible. DH wants the big V but I don't feel done yet so he agreed to wait until I was ready but he feels confident that he is done....anyway now I am considering the IUD but have only heard the stories about babies being born with them attached. Help please!

"Yo Mama!"

I had the copper IUD! I LOVED mine. I have heard stories too. However, I will get one again. I loved not having to worry about taking a pill and not really worrying about anything.
I don't know if the IUD caused this, the dr's say no, but before the IUD, I didn't have problems with cysts or anything, the month after having the IUD removed I didn't have a period for nearly 6 months which is a problem since we were ttc. I don't think it caused it but i don't know if it helped either. Good Luck with your decision. I don't think I coud do the big V, it is too permanent. I hope all is well! |

My uterus is screaming at me to MAKE MORE BABIES!!
|
I have the mirena and I hate it. My mood swings are insane. I sometimes get so bloated that I look pregnant, then I don't. I have horrid take me down cramps every two-three weeks and at least 3 migraines a week. The only reason this birth control is so effective for me is that it has robbed me of my sex drive and when we do have it I am in so much pain and I bleed. I would never recommend this one. I have to talk to my DH about getting it removed and we will just go with charting to avoid...

Queen of the arcade... but not for long =)

I had a copper IUD and it was SO much better than the pill, I will never be on the pill again, I'm too big of a witch. It was really nice not having to worry about remember something. I have heard some complaints of weird periods but it didn't change mine for better or worse. Getting it in was a bit crampy, spotty, not so fun but okay. Getting it out was better. I was acutally surprised how easy it was to get it out.
Really the only negative thing I have to say about it was that sometimes my hubby could feel it and that really ruined the mood. Though it is enough to make me think about not getting one again but I don't think most people have that problem, just my experience with it. |
