My understanding is that you put it in the Sunday after your period starts. So, if you start on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, put it in on Sunday
And, if you start on Sunday, put it in the following Sunday. I think that is right. It will definitely have directions on the inside of the box. I can't really remember because I had been on BC for over 10 years, and I always got AF on Friday after I took my ring out the previous Sunday, and put the ring back in on Sunday. So...I think you will like the ring. I LOVED it. And, I had NO symptoms, my periods were VERY light, and I only had it on Friday and Saturday and it was gone by Sunday AM. ![]() |

My understanding is that Estrogen lowers your milk supply - it doesn't completly kill it. You should still be able to nurse, there just may not be as much there. You could try some of the things for increasing milk production (if you don't already do so) in hopes of offsetting the affects of estrogen. Such as eating oatmeal daily, Mother's Milk Tea, drink LOTS of liquids, avoid caffiene (which dyhdrates you), etc.
In theory, I would think your child would start nursing more and eventually compensate for the reduction in milk by increasing your milk supply. But theory and reality don't always have a lot in common. Just make sure you little one is getting enough other food to compensate for any milk reduction. |
