for you Karen!

I've suffered with tension headaches for years and they get really bad while pregnant and its nothing like those - I usually end up having to take muscle rexalers when I get them as they can last for days on end.

These are different and the first time I got one was during Em's pregnancy. They start off with just a blurry spot in my eyes and within 10 minutes all I can see out of both eyes is like the appearence of a shimmering lake. They last from like 45 mins to several hours. The vision changes only last for a bit (longest was like 25 minutes) then the headache sets in. I have also had one while we were in the car that came out of nowhere and immediately my left eye was like looking through a kaledescope, that lasted a good 20 minutes then I got the worst headache and that lasted pretty much until I went to bed that night.

Does that sound normal or should I be looking into having it checked out?

They sounds like classic migraine to me, but I would still want to get it checked out to put my mind at ease.

Sounds like migraines to me! I lose peripheral vision or sometimes have double vision or like the haze. I only a few times got a weird smell thing too. I ALWAYS the vomiting for me. I so hope they don't hang on for you but I would get them checked out and see if you can get them under control. I felt like I would go on benders where I would get them frequently them have like 2-3 months of none, then one a week or more. They really suck.

I vote, get it checked, nothing to mess around with, especially wiht vision changes nad if you are drivoing that is really scary when it happens

I hope it works for you. It's better for your body to space them a bit further apart. Though I must say your body bounces back enviously fast.
