We took the kids to St. Augustine today with the monster in laws for a pre birthday celebration(we have birthday weeks in my house....) We got up there around 10 this morning, and went right to the aligator farm. I'm someone who HATES the outdoors, and there was 99% humitity out there today. We stayed there until 12:30, and the kids were getting hungry, so we headed to downtown. We ate at a pizza place, which was another hr, and then went to find the red train that tours the city.
Nothing can ever be easy with these people. We chased the train ALL OVER the city. Can you picture this...6 adults, 3 bags, 2 kids running up and down streets trying to get the train. We finally got on, and did the tour. Mike seemed to have a good time. We missed the stop to get off, so we had to keep going. Dean screamed twards the end and Mike fell asleep.
We finally got off the train, took my diaper bag and purse to the car, and got mike in the stoller, since he was sleeping.
Mind you I have NO ENERGY from this tyroid thing. We went to find this ring maker that Dh really wanted to find. We had promised Mike ice cream after the ring maker, so i woke him up to get ice cream. We got to the ice cream place, (it was the only place that had non dairy ice cream for Bean) It was 18.00 for 3 ice creams
While I was waiting for DH to bring the ice cream over, Mike told me had to go poop, and started crying. I ran him to the bathroom, as he was saying "mommy hurry" and we didn't make it in time. Diareaha. I had to send a starnger to go get DH, cause Mike didn't even have shoes on. I need wipes, and a change of clothes. Of course i left my diaper bag in the car, and the bathroom wasn't near the bathroom. Some really nice college girl went to get DH, and she came back with all she could fine...wipes from another mom who heard what was going on. Mike still wanted his ice cream, so i let him eat some.
We FINALLY left around 5, and when we got home, hes aid his tummy hurt. Of course I started with diareaha too. Randy(kinda of like our free nanny who works for food
it's DH 's step bro) said he threw up and had diareaha. I don't know if it was jsut the awful heat, or something we ate.
All in all we had a good time. I will up load the pics to the photo thread.
Next week is Disney....Oye
