Once upon a time - before I gave birth
- I would do cross stitch, sewing, painted metal miniatures, played computer games, and worked on improving my house. Now I have no time for any of that. Though I do still read stuff.
Things I would like to do if I did not have to work. I would consider getting more involved in the preschool I still hope to send my DD to this fall. Possibly a part time position at a local library - one could always volunteer there as well. Exercise - try to get into a group with other mothers for this if possible. Depending on finances, I would look for a volunteer or part time position somewhere that had something interesting to do. Or for a cause I believed in. I would look to join some Mom/parent groups or play dates so I could converse with other adults. I've discovered this isn't an option for full-time working mothers.
If money wasn't an issue - I would go back to school.
Right now I'm looking at being unemployed in 3 weeks - so I might get to do some of these things as I continue to seek gainful employment.
Unemployment is NOT going to pay the bills. But then again, neither are 99% of the jobs out there. Sigh...........
