What a fun, stressful, exciting, and painful last two weeks it's been.
First, Carson & I flew to Oregon for 5 days to visit my dad and step mom. THAT was a wonderful trip! Carson did great on the airplane and we kept really busy and had a very enjoyable time. We visited a total of 4 different waterfalls - all in gorgeous locations and that we had to hike to. We also went to a large rose garden, toured about 8 $1 million dollar homes (there was an annual home tour going on that week), went to a few parks, the mall, and indoor swimming pool. It was perfect!
When we came home we immediately packed our 5th wheel and drove about 8 hours down south to Pismo Beach with my BIL & my 17 year old nephew Mike, and also Cody's best friend Dillon, his brother, mom & dad - where we stayed for 1 week. It was super cold and windy for the first 3 days, which was good and bad. The wind made for awesome, smooth sand to ride on which was good. The bad was that sand was blowing in our eyes and we all basically would sit around camp wearing our goggles.
About three days into our trip is when it turned ugly! Cody and Dillon were competing for 'longest jump' - Cody won but in the process, landed wrong and broke his wrist! He spent the rest of the trip all doped up on Vicodin with a temporary splint on his arm and moping around about not being able to ride. Two days later, Dillon did the EXACT same thing!

Same wrist, everything! Also the day before we left, Carson & I ended up slamming head-on into a wall of sand and I immediately felt severe pain in my neck. Of coarse I was more worried about Carson, but he was and is, just fine (Thank you God!). And to top it all off, Bill fell off his dirtbike and thinks he may have broken a rib or severely bruised it or something.

So we're all pretty banged up.
Yesterday I spent the entire day at the doctors. First, I took Cody in for a new set of x-rays, then to the same place where Carson goes to get checked and they casted him. We decided to fork out an extra $100 to get him a waterproof cast, and the doctor says means he'll be able to swim & shower in it, which is awesome! I also took Carson in to get him checked because I've been so worried about him - even though he's shown no signs of an injury, I wanted to take him in to be safe - and he's just fine. Then I went into the doctor because of my neck and basically I've got whiplash and she prescribed me 800mg Motrin and Robaxin, which is a muscle relaxor -- Emma, what do you know about that med? So far it seems to help and doesn't make me sleepy, which is good.
Anyway, we're home and I'm doing my best to relax and get better.
I missed you girls!!
