So have you talked to any doctors about the surgery yet? And how quickly they can take a look at her when you do get her? I would assume this is critical and will need to be taken care of ASAP when she arrives in your home?

We're planning on taking her to California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. There is a surgeon there (Dr. Michael Black) who is an expert in robotic repairs of heart defects - a woman who adopted a child with the same condition from Ukraine and had Dr. Black do the surgery reached out to us and put us in touch with their team - it means a 1" scar instead of the entire length of the chest, fewer complications, easier/faster recovery.
There is a Ronald McDonald house nearby we will use and we're trying to get free flights for me and her through Northwest KidCares program. The woman who told us about this flew there on Monday, her son had the surgery on Tuesday, he was up and playing on Wednesday and they flew back home on Friday! They can't tell us much until we get her medical records, and we'll be using a local pediatric cardiologist to handle all the initial testing - basically the first week home she'll have to have an echocardiogram, etc.
