Our home study visit was this morning and it went great - we are now all done and approved!

The kids got tired and cranky toward the end but they were really well-behaved and NICE to her! They loved giving her a tour of the house and showing all of their favorite toys

Our social worker had no problem with the ages of our kids - she was one of 5 born in 6 years so our family was like going home to her
The best/most amazing part is that she will have our report written and complete by NEXT FRIDAY!! She already got back our CPS clearances and Matt's criminal clearance and hopefully mine is in the mail. They only took THREE DAYS to get them back to her - usually they take over a month. She included a letter explaining Emerson's situation so I guess that did the trick.
This is moving faster than we even hoped! We can't travel in early September because Matt has his Masters exams so if USCIS is just as fast with their approval we might end up sitting on our hands for a few weeks to make sure we don't submit our dossier to early!

We're compiling that now and will be getting into the busy work of notaries/county certificates/state apostilles soon. We'll have to take a day trip to Albany for all the apostilling - 2 1/2 hour drive, fun fun!
So happy to have this part done!
