It just keeps getting better and better
Jayden had his followup appt this morning. He actually hasn't been doing too bad so I was expecting better news. He's still snotty, some days better than others but overall I'd say a little better. The cough is becoming a thing of the past and fever free all week. But his right ear is still full of fluid (after a week of amox and now a week of augmen too plus ear drops). So he has another week of the a/b to go and hopefully it clears up, if not it's off to the ENT for him. Good news is his weight is still creeping up despite his lack of appetite, he weighed in at 16lbs 4oz
We had to bring Peyton in this morning too. His ears started draining nasty stuff over the weekend so we knew something was up. Double ear infection for him. His right tube is on its way out and sitting in the ear canal, but the infection isn't too bad on that side and the draining is minimal now. The left tube is still in place but the infection (and drainage) on that side is pretty bad. They put him on Omnicef for 10 days and ear drops for the left side. This is his second EI in 2 months, which is bad news. If he ends up with another one so close again its back to the ENT for him too and possibly getting the tubes redone.
