I can understand, but I can't stand for my house not to be clean. I didn't say it's perfect. I just tackle one thing a day and keep my kitchen clean everyday. That seems to keep my house tidy.
Have you thought about having Mike help you? My girls love to dust. They even sweep, of course I have to resweep.
I also have them race around picking up the crap that they have brought into the living area. You can set a timer or put on some fast music and dance around with him. If you make it fun he will be willing to help and NO he's not too young.
I just thought of another thing. They love to vaccum!! The only place we have carpet is in the bedrooms. If they want to vaccum they have to clean their room. They don't do a perfect job, but they get it good enough and they are proud that they did it.
