Everything-yay!
Just wanted to post so you know we're still alive. Jersey and I are doing good. We had some issues with PPD which I'm struggling with but we're getting past them but there is NOTHING that makes you feel like a bad mom when you just want to choke her, KWIM? Anyway, she turned 4 months old on March 17. She started rolling over to her left a week before that. She is now trying to crawl and can drag herself (army-crawl) if she can get ahold of the sheet, carpet, etc. She had her next checkup on the 7th so I will know more then. She took my hand I was eating with and put the roll that was in my hand up to her mouth twice on Easter. I took my hand away both times, and the third time she grabbed my roll and gummed it. All I could do was stare in disbelief. I believed it was WAY too early to start on solids but I guess time has really flwon by. The ped. wants us to wait. He said 8-12 months (or when she lets you know by grabbing your food). Well, on Sunday we were out to eat so I feed her a little tiny bit of strawberry goo that was on my dessert and she grabbed to spoon and held it in her mouth. The little devil wouldn't let go!
Now, I know that this whole comparing babies thing is way overated but I had ???'s I figured you girls could help me with. If a baby rolls one way when they start rolling, will that be their dominant hand? Is there any correlation? If her eyes are going to change, when will they? Now, they are a blue/green. Mine are brown, DH are green. When did your babies start crawling, sitting up, walking, and talking? When do I need to start worrying if she won't drink water or isn 't walking, talking, etc.?
I feel like I'm a new mom now that I am kind of coming out of this funky 'fog' of PPD. I can actually enjoy being with her without wanting to hit her. Doesn't that sound terrible??!?!!!? Got to go, the bell rang....
My day of subbing is over!!!
